Every pet that enters our shelter receives the individualized attention they deserve. And for every person who reaches out, we offer compassionate guidance, resources, and solutions. This work is only possible because of a community that believes in second chances, strong families, and humane care for all.

Through the Coalition for Pet Progress, we are fortunate enough to be part of their feed program. All of our dog and cat food is generously donated by Purina. We exclusively feed Purina One products to our shelter pets.

Whiskers at Work
The Belleville Area Humane Society’s mission is to improve the lives of pets in our community, what better way then bringing them to your workplace?
We love our Whiskers at Work program for a variety of reasons. For our puppies and kittens, they provide great socialization. Whiskers at Work also helps promote adoption, volunteerism and fostering. BAHS knows how great shelter pets are and we want everyone else to know too!
Studies have shown that interacting with a furry friend reduces stress and blood pressure. When our puppies and kittens meet new human friends, it gives us an opportunity to share our work with the community and our furry adoptable pets love them too!
You can schedule a one-hour playdate with your choice of puppies or kittens for a minimum donation of $250.
Or schedule a 30-minute Whiskers at Work for $150. Proceeds from this service will benefit all of the adoptable animals at the Belleville Area Humane Society.
